Established in 2015, the center includes four thematic areas and one multi-functional classroom. The center shows Taiwans’ variety of silver grass, and there are microscopes for visitors to examine the plant in detail. Visitors can also learn about Caoling’s geology and the insects, animals and plants that may be found along Caoling Historic Trail. It is simply a lot of fun to observe silver grass from different perspectives. The center even demonstrates how silver grass can be used in everyday life, in terms of food, clothing, housing, and transport. Silver grass is a great source of biomass energy, too. Finally, concepts such as “the Earth’s resources are on a limited offer” and “let’s protect the environs together” are much advocated here.
With so much information on offer, the center is a great place to learn. We suggest that visitors drop by at the center before walking the Caoling Historic Trail. Enjoy an informative tour at the center, other than exploring romantic Caoling!
