Designed by renowned architect Kris Yao, the yellow building looks like a parachute and a big boat. Its modern exterior has many interesting meanings. And the service area not only boasts impressive natural views but also serves as an ideal surfing site. Beachside shops provide surfing coaching sessions - even newbies can enjoy surfing this way. At hilltop, there is a paragliding base. Paragliders can immerse in a mesmerising, magnificent birds-eye-view of Wai’ao in mid air. The many air, land and water activities have attracted adventurous visitors here.
In the service area, there are free feet-washing facilities to use, and payable shower rooms. Cafe No. 9 serves coffee and snacks, with tourist information services. Outside the large French windows are the Pacific Ocean and Guishan Island. Cafe No. 9 is said to be the cafe that’s closest to the ocean!
